The global professional hospitality industry is already looking ahead to HOST 2027, Milano

With over 1,000 companies already confirmed through rebooking, the countdown to Host 2027 has begun: rising sector data and an Observatory set to support operators' business.

Some trade shows merely showcase an industry. Others define it, anticipating trends and bringing all key players together. In this sense, the 45th edition of Host Milano, scheduled at Fiera Milano from 22 to 26 October 2027, arrives with a compelling calling card: over 1,000 companies have already chosen to confirm their presence at the next edition through rebooking, directly during Host 2025.

This figure adds to an already strong track record: 2,200 exhibitors and more than 183,000 professional visitors from around the world, cementing Host Milano’s position as the global reference platform for hospitality, out-of-home dining and food retail. Particularly notable was the growth in international visitors: +27% from the United States, +29% from Brazil, +21% from the United Arab Emirates, +20% from Australia. A global vocation that grows stronger with every edition.

The market backdrop remains equally favorable. According to an analysis by ExportPlanning produced exclusively for the Host Observatory, in 2025 global production across professional hospitality sectors reached €244 billion, up 26% compared to the pre-pandemic period, with an annual growth rate of 3.9%. World trade stands at €175 billion, while Italian exports reach €8.7 billion (+3.3%), confirming Made in Italy's leading role in global markets. Projections for 2027–2029 point to a structural recovery with a CAGR of +3.5%, set to bring world trade to €188 billion by the end of the decade.

Host 2027 will place particular focus on gelato and pastry, bakery and coffee — icons of Italian excellence worldwide — with dedicated initiatives and features to be announced in the coming months. Guiding the build-up will be the Host Observatory, the analysis and insight program that will accompany businesses and operators throughout the two-year journey, providing an up-to-date map of emerging market trends and business opportunities.
